This role will be responsible for publishing applications on Azure Virtual Desktop, provisioning user access, deploying enterprise applications and devices, managing mobile devices using Intune, and monitoring backup alerts on virtual machines hosted on VMware. Additionally, this role will manage firewalls on SDWAN Azure WAF, resolve critical vulnerabilities through patching, and deploy the latest fixes using Azure Patch Manager. Day-to-day desktop support is also a key component of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Publish and manage applications on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). 
  • Provisioning user access to AVD and ensure a seamless user experience. 
  • Monitor and optimise the performance of AVD environments. 
  • Deploy and manage enterprise applications across various platforms. 
  • Utilise Microsoft Intune to deploy and manage mobile devices and ensure compliance with security policies. 
  • Configure and maintain device management policies, including updates, patches, and application deployments. 
  • Monitor backup alerts and manage backup processes for virtual machines hosted on VMware. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backup issues to ensure data integrity and availability. 
  • Tape management at the Data Centre. 
  • Manage firewalls, including SD-WAN and Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF). 
  • Regularly review and update firewall rules to align with security best practices.
  • Use Azure Patch Manager to deploy patches and updates to servers and endpoints. 
  • Maintain a regular patching schedule and ensure compliance with organizational policies. 
  • Monitoring the server health and verify any critical usages. 
  • Provide day-to-day IT support for end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. 
  • Manage and resolve tickets related to desktop support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new desktops, laptops, and peripherals. 
  • Provisioning users to the phone system (3CX) and provide support/maintenance of the call queue groups.

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Office 365 and SharePoint administration.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Firewall Manager.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and managing backups using Veeam.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Intune including deploying enterprise applications & managing devices and Azure Update Manager.
  •  Experience with Meraki SDWAN and firewall rule configuration.
  •  Strong understanding of enterprise application deployment and mobile device management.
  •  Strong communication and teamwork abilities
